I spent a little time in my garden this morning.

My garden is a place you'll often find me barefoot with a cup of coffee in hand and a smile on my face. It is a place I find Sattva.

Sattva- the mode of goodness and clarity. A place of peacefulness, contemplation and learning.

It is a place that everything slows down amd quiets and I can feel a deeper connection to my true self. It is a place that no matter how w**d free or w**dy, how abundant or scarce, how colourful or bland it is, I feel only love and admiration for.

So just a little reminder today, it is important to remember ✨️ if you happen to feel messy, a bit behind where you think you need to be or like you're just not good enough in any way, know that that's simply not true and there are others around you looking at you with love and admiration.

It is often thought that the asana (the shape or the pose) is the goal. In reality the goal of the practice is observation and connection. The observation of breath, mind, sensation, routine, and/or emotion and the connection to our true self. Our true self being the soul.

Tranquil, quiet moments are more accessible than the ego tells us they are.

In a society where hustle is the norm, finding time to rest, reflect, and restore is more important than ever.
Rest allows us to connect with our true self, to calm our nervous system and find our rest and digest state.

Maybe this rest looks like a quick nap, a long yoga practice or meditation, time unplugged and undistracted in nature, or maybe it is closing down your eyes and taking 10-20 rounds of slow intentional breath.

Whatever your busy life allows, remember rest is not laziness. Rest is a form of self love, self care and self connection that should come without guilt and be non negotiable.
