The Energy Conservation Assistance Program (ECAP), offered by BC Hydro and FortisBC, helps income-qualified households manage energy use and improve home comfort.

Households can qualify to get a heat pump, insulation or other energy efficiency upgrades installed in their homes. Upgrades are installed free of charge for qualifying homes.

The program has recently expanded with more offers for eligible BC Hydro and FortisBC customers. Please let seniors in your community know to check if they qualify.

How to participate:
Check if you qualify at BCHydro.com/ECAP or FortisBC.com/ECAP.
Apply online or through the mail. Include an income verification document for each adult in the home, and if you rent, a landlord consent form.
Complete a free home energy assessment to determine the eligibility of your household.
Find out what upgrades you are eligible to access and get them installed by a program contractor.
