Hay 2026 is complete! A huge thank you to our amazing help from friends and neighbours. We truly couldn’t have done it without each of you, and we appreciate every bit of help so much! 🥰

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this delivery!! The show ribbons for our 2026 Summer Show Case arrived this morning, along with our new addition to Misty River Equine Rider Levels. After a rider successfully passes each level they will receive a certificate, along with a ribbon! I cannot wait to get these handed out to some students! 🤩

Today was the first big rain test for the new arena! It poured rain here for a big potion of the night, and early morning. My old arena would have been a soupy mess with multiple large puddles.

In the new arena there was not a puddle to be seen and no soggy sand! Just soil footing. That’s why we put so much into forming a good sub base, and base to provide great drainage on a day like today. This way we can safely ride, no matter the weather! 🌧️

A beautiful evening for porch sitting and course preparation! I even had some turkey visitors! 🦃

Our first week of 2026 lessons is officially in the books! We had many new students join us this week, and more incredible smiles than I can count! What a joy it has been to have students back again, and to continue to teaching my girly the ropes too!

Now to finish preparing for our Equine First Aid course happening tomorrow, and then we can breathe a little bit. Thank you to all my amazing clients for an incredible week! 😍🐴

Is there a better way to help prepare a lesson horse for lesson kids than riding in the arena with a toddler running and crawling around, a baby chatting, yelling and crying, and a hubby sawing and hammering railings?? 😆🐴

We had such a fantastic first day of lessons today! We had several brand new riders with us today, and an awesome barn class reviewing haltering, leading and hoof cleaning for some returning students. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone else over the new couple weeks! 🐴

The rails are on the arena, it’s freshly drug and ready for our first day of lessons! 🤩

Our Equine Health and Emergency First Aid course is right around the corner, but it’s not too late to sign up! I still have a couple spaces available. What a great opportunity to prepare yourself to help your horse in an emergency.
