South Delta...this is a big one.

Over the last 7 years, our mission at Check Mark Fitness has always been bigger than workouts and meal plans.

From day one, I told myself I would never let the door close on more people having access to real, science-based coaching that creates efficient and sustainable results backed by the latest research.

That's why I'm excited to officially welcome Coach Tia (Tiagra) to the team

With 7 years of coaching experience, 15 years of training experience, and certifications in mobility, kettlebells, yoga, and pain-free performance, Tia brings an incredible level of knowledge and care to our community.

She specializes in helping people move better, feel better, and train without constantly battling aches or limitations (physical, mental, time-based).

With a waitlist the last 2 years I waited for the person I knew I could trust and thrive with.

After Tia moved to South Delta last year, I knew I found that person.
She has fallen in love with the community and is excited to help even more people here build stronger, healthier, more confident lives.

Life only gets busier. There will never be a "perfect" time to prioritize your health, energy, strength, and confidence — but the habits you build now will impact both your short-term and long-term future.

Everybody sees what they see in front of them. That in itself is totally fair, but what they don’t see is what each person has been through to be where they are at now. Whether they are where they want to be or not where they want to be, there is always a journey behind it.

It may be ongoing…jt may just have started…it may be at a halt. I started my fitness journey 14 years ago with extremely low confidence, no knowledge and no mentor to help me.

I did what I could with what I had but the most important thing was that I started that day in grade 9. I was very consistent, going more days than I do now in these pics, but didn’t have the tools or knowledge to really get the results I felt that deserved.

When I was not getting the rewards physically right away and still getting picked on by those who matured physically faster and/or had a coach, I didn’t realize yet I was in it for the wrong reasons. I was doing it to gain social respect, rather than working on myself.

Through the growth of that hobby that formed into a passion, I started to seek mentors and ask more and more questions. This growth mindset has got me to where I am today and is a pillar of my business.

My past fuelled a fire under me, but my transition overtime of doing it for myself is what created the base for that fire to stay lit forever. Ego gone—others’ opinions slowly faltering out—willingness to keep learning more. It’s an ongoing journey.

What I am trying to say is that everybody starts somewhere but the people that truly get to where they want to be are the people that never give up during these hard times that are inevitable.

Through this experience I can now put it to good use for countless others.

We do what we can with what we know and when we know better we do better.

Keep going and you will make your mark.
