Your way of moving is the right way of moving. 🎶 We are all different, and that is how it is supposed to be! 🎶 No one cares what you look like while you are dancing. (And if they do, that’s their problem, not yours!)🎶 We get better at what we are doing when we practice doing it! 🎶 You are responsible for what you do. 🎶 Basically, that’s Groove! Plus the music... and fun.

There is an arc to the class format, with warmups and light cardio, other specialized types of movements built in. As always, you can opt out of a dance, or “chair dance” if you prefer!

Thinking more about having Groove sessions in Dawson City again. Let me know (in comments or via messenger) your thoughts on day/time, location… central Dawson area, but open to the idea of “roving livingroom dance parties” too!

It’s been a long time… but I’ve heard some buzz and hope that Groove would start up again in Dawson. So… look for Groove in early 2025! Stay tuned…

Wellity-wellity-wellity! Look what I did… after a knee injury in the summer, new physio started two weeks ago, somehow another knee injury, I finally took my own advice and had FUN with gentle movement. 🎶 I randomly chose an old playlist, and this is what I got. Actually more uptempo overall than I would have picked this eve… so of course that meant it was perfect! 🎶 Keep on keeping on, folks!

Out of respect for the funeral that will be held in St Paul’s on Saturday May 6, we will change our dance venue this Friday May 5 to the Monte Carlo Dance Studio. This is located around back of the Monte Carlo building on Front street, and I’ll have a sign out! Class is $10, and please feel free to come a few minutes early to prep yourself, and we start at 5:30! See you there! 🎶

Yes!!! Today, April 21, join me in the Richard Martin Chapel (next door to the Thrift Store) for an hour’s movement… Groove is like a dance party in your body! Come out n’ have fun. 🎶 Note there are a couple of pallets outside to cross over on your way in… a little balancing practice as we settle into Spring.

Folks, in case you didn’t see my edited posts online earlier today, I went and got the sniffles and a sore throat. So unfortunately that means I have to cancel our class this evening. I anticipate being better next Friday though, so I will update closer to that day… and see you then!
