A golden-hour kayak kind of morning.

The lake was pure glass.
The loons were calling.
The light was low and gold.

And somewhere along the way, a moose appeared at the edge of the morning like it had wandered straight out of a story.

Some mornings feel like the season is giving you more than you asked for.

Water.
Wildlife.
Stillness.
A paddle in your hands.

That strange little feeling of being awake before the rest of the day has fully begun.
A good morning to be on the lake.

Golden hour on the lake, with loons calling.

..and a moose too! (in comments)

A little stack of autumn arrived yesterday.

The printed copies of the Autumn Seasonal Letter are here, along with the ritual cards and seasonal reflection cards, and I’m in that lovely in-between moment of gathering, sorting, and beginning to put everything together.

There is something special about seeing these pieces move from screen to paper.

The first Seasonal Letter will be shared on September 1.

More soon.

Two words.
One name.

Willie Nelson.

A date with a legend.

This one was a bucket-list kind of yes.

The kind of yes that comes from thinking, how many chances will I have to be in the same room as someone like this?

Someone who has lived a whole lifetime inside music.
Someone whose voice is unmistakable.
Someone who carries that rare kind of presence that does not need to prove anything.

The curtain dropped, and there he was.

Willie Nelson.

And in that moment — the little heart-stop, the small gasp, the flutter in the chest, and the very real thought:

Oh my God.

It’s Willie Nelson.

There were songs that seemed to carry another time with them.
Songs that felt like old radios, open roads, kitchen tables, family memories, and a time you may not have lived exactly, but somehow still recognize.

There were songs that made me smile.

And a few that made me cry.

Not every pause is quiet.

Some pauses have music, crowds, awe, tears, laughter, a curtain dropping, a legend with a guitar, and the deep gladness of saying yes to something you may never get to do again.

A closer look at one of the fall class options:

Restorative Yoga

This is the rest class.

Restorative Yoga is quiet, supported, and deeply restful. The body is held with blankets, bolsters, and props so that you can settle into each posture with as little effort as possible.

The poses are held longer, giving the body time to soften into support and the mind time to quiet.

This class may be a good fit if you are craving:

deep rest
quiet
softness
support
a slower evening rhythm
a place to pause
a weekly space where you can stop doing for a while

Restorative Yoga is offered Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
Classes are 75 minutes.

The first fall session begins September 23/24.

Registration opens Monday, August 24.
