Hi folks... Reminder for those of you attending summer Judo, tonight's classes (Monday, August 17) are rescheduled to tomorrow to accommodate an event at the hall this evening.

Some schedule updates at Rockwater for the new season, starting Wednesday, September 9!

*All 13+ members who attended last season or over the summer may attend the Monday and Wednesday classes regardless of belt level. Tuesday and Thursday nights are great for all skill levels from beginner to experienced.

This weekend Abhaya Martial Arts are hosting a grappling camp featuring both Judo and BJJ. With friend of Rockwater Scott Tanner and BJJ Black belt Mike Kitson as guest senseis it should be a fun time loaded with great learning opportunities.

Summer Hours Update

Effective Monday, July 6 we'll be following the schedule below for the summer months:

Regular Classes - Monday and Wednesday
Kids up to 12* - 6:00pm to 7:00pm
Adults 13+ - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

*Older kids' class students who might find better-sized partners in the 13+ class are welcome to join us at 7:00 p.m. for the summer.

Kata/Technique Classes - Thursday
Ages 10+ - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Congratulations to Sensei Chris and Sensei Abbi from Spryfield Judo Kai for successfully passing their tests for Nidan(2nd degree black belt)!

Great job and big thanks to their partners Mark and Scott, and congratulations to the others who tested today as well.

Please note that the Kata clinic scheduled for this weekend has been postponed, and will be rescheduled early in the new season.

Rockwater is excited to welcome Gerald Poirier to our club next month as he'll be back in Nova Scotia for another Kata clinic (see poster for details).
