Budocentral Martial Arts in Halifax - Dartmouth, NS is the home of some of the most exciting and dynamic martial arts you can find and the passion of Frank Zinck. We are not a commercial venture but a team of dedicated volunteers and martial arts enthusiasts. Both Karate and Ju-Jitsu are non-tournament styles where the emphasis is on student development, fitness and self-esteem building. All our programs and workshops are life changing and empowering.

Kyushu-Ryu Ju-Jitsu - Monday, Sept 14
Youth beginner & intermediate classes – Monday and Thursday nights from 7:00-7:45
Youth advanced classes – Monday and Thursday nights from 7:45-8:30
Adult Classes – Monday and Thursday nights from 8:30-10:00
Karate-do Shotokai - Tuesday, Sept 15
Youth beginner & intermediate classes – Tuesday nights from 7:00-7:45
Youth advanced classes – Tuesday nights from 7:45-8:30

Congratulations 🎈🎉🍾 to Ken May for obtaining the rank of Shodan, 1St Degree Black Belt during our annual Karate seminar this weekend hosted by our sister club. Well deserved, congrats Ken!!!!

A few of the adult students from both Karate and Ju-Jitsu went to Boston Pizza last night. It was fun to get out and socialize with everyone.

Adult Ju-Jitsu Grading
Thursday May 7th, 8:30-10:00
Last Ju-Jitsu Class
Thursday May 14th, 8:30-10:00 - we’ll leave early and go out to Boston Pizza after.
No classes
The weeks of May 18 and May 25 there are no classes
Summer classes
One night a week on Tuesdays, starting June 2nd - from 6:45 -8:30 - students are responsible for setting up mats (do not arrive in the gym prior to 6:45) - $60 for the summer.
Summer class ends August 25th, so you will have a few weeks off.
Fall term starts September 14th.

Boston Pizza
I plan to go to Boston Pizza on May 14th, Thursday night at 9:45 for those that are interested in joining.
Fall Term
Classes return in the fall on September 15th.
