Hello everyone,

While we look at planning a 2022 sports year we need to put together a fresh board of people willing to run the soccer association. At this time there are no board members. I will be moving out of Crossfield in a few months and will not be able to continue being involved in the club.

If you have interest in being involved for 2022 please let me know!

I just want to extend a huge THANK YOU to the parents signing up for their volunteer time with the registrations. The earlier you sign up for your volunteer slot the more choice you get!

Ref courses available if anyone is interested in reffing.

Good morning soccer parents,

After a successful AGM we have been able to move forward with soccer for the 2020 season. As a result registration is now open! Registration deadline is Friday, April 3, 2020. Please take note of the new volunteer section on the website and ensure you sign up for a task upon registration. One slot per family is required.

Days of the week to play as follows:

U5/U9/U13/U17 Tue/Thu
U7/U11/U15/U19 Mon/Wed

While registering the website will allow your child into only the correct team based on birth year. At this time it can be assumed all teams will be co-ed. If we have enough registrations in any particular age group we can look at splitting it but we won't be able to discuss this until we have enough registrations.

Returning parents, the website requires an access code you can have e-mailed to you. If you have any problems registering please don't hesitate to reach out.

We had a successful meeting tonight so it looks like we will be going ahead with the 2020 season! We will be building the volunteer expectations throughout the next week or two so that it is easy for parents to see where they can volunteer. We would rather not cash anyone’s volunteer cheques and the season will run much more smoothly if everyone does their part.

Please note, some new policies will be strictly enforced this year. Uniforms will NOT be handed out without a uniform deposit, and children will not be allowed on the field without the volunteer deposit. Volunteering will be tracked throughout the season to ensure everyone does their part, and our season can run smoothly without hiccups.

The AGM is tomorrow at 6:30pm at the community hall. Please come out to support soccer coming back to Crossfield!

We’ve made some progress this past week towards getting our website back online which will hopefully give us the chance to email previous parents about the AGM on Feb 26. In the meantime please spread the word about the meeting. I have had a lot of interest in attending and it’s vital because if we don’t have a board elected that day there will be no redo as there is no time to get registrations done by the April 1 deadline otherwise.

Hello everyone! Our AGM is now booked for Wednesday, February 26, at 6:30pm in the Arts & Crafts room at the community hall. We absolutely need to elect a full board at this meeting or soccer will not proceed this year. Please spread the word about the meeting!
