CVWSS at it again. Supporting HMCS QUADRA cadet camp with their INVICTUS day and intro to para-sports.

They got the chance to experience an obstacle course while blindfolded and guided, sit volleyball and wheelchair basketball.

BC Wheelchair Basketball is hosting the WOW! (Women’s Only Wheelchair Basketball & Sports!) Summer Mini Fest on June 11 at the Richmond Olympic Oval. This fun-filled event is for all self-identified women, ages 5+, with or without any experience in wheelchair basketball or any other sports. Since 2017, CVWSS has supported the INVICTUS games athletes in their training by offering gym time, coaching, and equipment. This year is no exception. Coach Stephane was invited to the IG23 training camp at CFB Esquimalt.

We were also privileged to have 2 INVICTUS athletes come to our practice last Tuesday. Rock and Patrick came to play during the Moving Forward Together week in the Comox Valley. Thank you Mike Werth and Kasandra Roy for hosting our guest.

Thank you Bowsey for the opportunity, Coaches Simon and Tim for their support and for bringing in local athletes to challenge the players. The Pender kids were great opponents.
