Cardiopulmonary fitness is key for helping breast cancer patients manage post-diagnosis symptoms
Researchers led by Kerry Courneya (Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation) found that a lower VO2 peak was associated with a greater likelihood of newly diagnosed patients experiencing depression, fatigue and poor sleep quality.
