Northern Karate- Thornhill/North York

11:20 p.m. and my day is officially done.

I left the house at 8:00 this morning so I could teach from 9:30 to 11:00, get my own training in, lift some weights, and then teach for the rest of the night..

Normally, the mats get their deep clean in the morning, but with our amazing summer camp taking over the dojo, that wasn’t happening today. So, after the last class ended at 9:40 tonight, out came the machine.

It’s been a day. A long one.

But as they say, love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life.

Although I’m pretty sure today still counts as work. 😂🥋

11:20 p.m. The mats are clean. The dojo is ready for tomorrow.

Time to go home.

This morning's conditioning workout was called Cardi-Oh Hell Nah. 🥵

The workout lived up to the name.

If you're free on Wednesdays from 9:30-10:30am come train with us. Great workout, great people, and a guaranteed feeling of accomplishment when it's over.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and mother figures, both on and off the mat.

Thank you for the rides to class, the last-minute uniform washes, the pep talks after tough days, and the endless support behind every kick, punch, and achievement.
Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines, tying belts, helping with homework, or simply being the calm in the chaos, your impact goes far beyond the dojo.

The strength, patience, and love you show every day do not go unnoticed.

Huge thank you to all of our students and parents for coming together and making something really special happen.

Because of this community, we were able to raise close to $20,000 for SickKids in memory of Tyler Cohen Wallace.

There was a lot of great competition, a lot of laughs, and a lot of smiles all around. But more than anything, there was heart. You could feel it in the room.

Tyler would have been proud.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up for each other the way you all did.
