We've been lucky to have some decent rains this spring and keeps water levels at fair conditons. Had a shower pass through this evening and framed camp with a nice rainbow.

First flock of Snow Geese flying by camp today! The Canada Geese have been here for a few weeks already and we still have a fairly good amount of snow to melt but thats a good sign that spring weather is on its way!
Spring has arrived and migration is in full swing! Lots of snow geese, canada Geese, ducks and Sandhill cranes in the area!
We still have some spots open for hunting this fall. October is fairly full but several openings in September if anyone is interested in joining us in Saskatchewan.

Enjoyed some warmer weather this weekend and got out to check on the nest tunnels. Only a handful left to check. We had another relatively dry year in 2024 and majority of nests weren't used. We've had much more snow this winter so hopefully that means more spring water in the wetlands!

Break between hunting groups this week and enjoying the northern lights on full display tonight!
Spotted a lone Canada Goose last weekend flying over the snow covered fields and today saw a good sized flock sitting on a frozen wetland. The days are getting nicer so must mean spring is on the way!
We have some availability for hunts this fall for a few more groups to join us here in Saskatchewan. Weeks of Sept 22-28 & Oct 13-19. Send us a message if interested and we'd be glad to discuss the details.
When it cold and windy - its time to hunt snow geese! Perfect conditions today and the birds worked the spread well. Guys ended up with just shy of 60 birds - including Ross Goose banded in 2009 in Nunavut! It was well worth the effort to put out the decoys and endure the cold wind!
Was a great afternoon to be out on a duck hunt!
Great day to be out along the edge of a wetland waiting for the ducks to fly!
