Pretty Chic Training Lane!

Day 11 was the best training day yet! The team got access to the World Cup training lane after Mikaela Shiffrin's group moved to another part of the mountain. The athletes made the most of it, skied well, and continued to make great progress.

Back on the lane today before switching to slalom for the final two days. The athletes are feeling the effects of 11 big days on snow, but they're still improving, and coaches manage and match energy for the push to the final stretch.

For a break, the team headed to Farellones for lunch and a chance to get out of El Colorado for a few hours.

Fun fact: this is the most snow this part of Chile has seen in 20 years. ❄️🇨🇱.

OUR SKI COMMUNITY STANDS WITH NORTHERN ONTARIO

Recent wildfires have devastated communities across Northern Ontario, including Namaygoosisagigun First Nation (Collins), where a fast-moving fire destroyed most of the community in under an hour in mid-July. Families escaped by boat. Everyone made it out safely, but there's very little left to go back to.

Community member shared: "I swam in the lake with my sisters at the spot where our mom's house once stood and felt a little bit of hope that day."

Our ski community reaches every corner of the province, including AOA coaches like (water bomber pilot, MNR) and board member .bradley1998, who has been coordinating Indigenous firefighting crews.

Recovery will take years. You can help make that road shorter.

Neil Lumsden , Ontario’s Minister of Sport, Natalie Pierre , MPP for Burlington and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Sport, and Brian Saunderson, MPP for Simcoe–Grey, for taking the time to meet with Patrick Biggs .biggs_ , Executive Director of Alpine Ontario, and Stephanie Warner , Chair of the Board.

Thank you to Prime Minister , Minister @ and Secretary of State (Sport) Adam van Koeverden for recognizing the role sport plays in building this country.

In Ontario, we have seen firsthand what is possible when world-class events come to our communities. The Craigleith Ski Cross World Cup and the Tremblant Women's Alpine World Cup have lit a spark and offered inspiration to many young Ontario athletes.

This funding will also provide more sustainable pathways for Next Gen high-performance athletes to chase their dreams. Stronger base funding for our national sport organizations means a safer sports system, better national-level programming, and more kids finding their way into the sport from the magic carpets all the way to the podium.
