Yet another reminder of Kempe's equipment requirements for our Youth Muay Thai & Kickboxing Program 👇👇

EFECTIVE SEP 1st, all class participants require these items, no exceptions:

✔️ Shin guards
✔️ 8 or 10oz muay thai gloves
✔️ Headgear
✔️ Handwraps
✔️ Mouthguard
✔️ Athletic cup for males highly suggested!

People have asked WHY all this equipment?

Most sports require equipment and/or uniforms to participate.
Would you allow your child to play football without proper protective equipment? Lacrosse??
Of course not! These measures are in place for your childs safety in sport.

Please ensure you have all equipment necessary in order to participate come Sep 1st.

Along with this, APPROPRIATE ATHLETIC ATTIRE only!

❌️ NO tank tops - full coverage is ideal
❌️ NO zippers or buttons on clothing
❌️ NO glitter/sequins

One of the things that makes Kempe special isn’t just what happens on the mats — it’s the community we build between our members.

Many of our teens who started as young grapplers have now grown into our adult program. They’re becoming more experienced, more confident, and more capable — and with that comes an important responsibility. ❤️

Our adult members have an incredible opportunity to teach, encourage and guide the younger grapplers coming up behind them.

Sometimes it’s showing a new student how to tie their belt.
Sometimes it’s helping them through a tough round.
Sometimes it’s reminding them not to give up when something feels difficult.
And sometimes, it’s simply being someone they can look up to.

Those moments matter.

The teens watch our older members.
They see their work ethic, their discipline, their confidence and how they treat others.

And our older members learn something too — leadership, patience, responsibility and what it means to give back to the team.

At Kempe, we don’t just develop better athletes.

We develop leaders who help develop the next generation. 🥋❤️
