If you’re thinking about becoming a Pilates instructor… this is for you 🤍

When I was going through Comprehensive Teacher Training, there were SO many things I didn’t really understand until I was actually in it — things I wish someone had told me before I started.

So I put together a completely FREE guide:

✨ 10 Things I Wish I Knew Before Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training ✨

It’s for anyone who’s thinking about teacher training, currently in the middle of it, or even just curious about what the process is actually like.

I’m sharing the things I genuinely wish I had known — from the time commitment and practice teaching to finding your own teaching style and realizing you absolutely do NOT need to know everything on day one. 😂

If Pilates teacher training has been on your mind lately, you can grab the free guide on my page (it’s pinned at the top!) 🫶

And if you know someone who’s thinking about becoming an instructor, feel free to send it their way!

Sometimes the best Pilates inspiration comes from taking someone else’s class 👀

I took class with our lead instructor on Friday and she had us do this variation — and I immediately thought, HOW have I never done this before?! 😂

It’s so simple: take two movements we already know and combine them.

Lying supine with your arms in straps, start with your hands stacked over your shoulders and your legs reaching straight up over your hips.

Then circumduct the arms AND legs together 🔄

Out → down → up & around
Then reverse it: down → out → up & around.

That’s it. Nothing crazy. Nothing overly complicated. Just a completely different way to make a familiar supine arm series feel fresh.

And this is exactly why I love taking other instructors’ classes — sometimes one tiny change makes your teacher brain go 🤯

Pilates instructors, SAVE this one and throw it into your next class! Then come back and tell me what your clients thought 👀🔥

AROUND THE WORLD — but make it a leg day 🔥

You guys loved seeing how I layered my last lunge series, so here’s another look at how I build a full lower-body sequence while keeping the focus on ONE working leg.

And even though we’re on the reformer, in my brain this is very much a MODERN take on a Pilates leg day 😂 We’re using the reformer for the support, resistance + control we love from Pilates, but layering movements together to really challenge that one leg.

The goal with this one: pick a side and stay there. 👏🏼
Instead of bouncing back and forth between right and left, we work the same leg through the entire series while making our way around the reformer. That’s also why you’ll see me facing away from the camera sometimes — the setup is based on keeping the SAME leg working, not getting the prettiest camera angle 😂

We start with the b***y band:
✨ Arabesques → pulses
✨ 90/90 step-back lunges → pulses
✨ Lunge → scooter tap → stand
✨ Finish in that staggered stance with pulses

Band comes OFF, but the leg keeps working. 🔥

Then we move into our reformer lunge series:
✨ Hovered lunges → supporting-leg pulses
✨ Lunges → RDL-style hinges
✨ Lunges → carriage pulses

From there, we keep travelling around the reformer:
✨ Skater lunges
✨ Quadruped heel-to-footbar presses
✨ Glute kickbacks
✨ Side-facing presses
✨ Straight-leg lifts
✨ Finish with a split-stance RDL

I’m generally aiming for around 6–10 reps of each depending on the class, the level, and just how spicy I’m feeling that day. 🌶️

I kept this entire series on ONE medium/heavy spring, and my footbar stays upright at 90° so it’s ready for the quadruped work later — plus it gives you a little balance support during the standing portions.

By the time you’ve made your way around the reformer, that first glute should be VERY aware of what just happened. 😂

Then… we do it all again on the other side. 🫠

Save this one for your next lower-body flow, and follow along because I have plenty more layered reformer series coming. 🤍
