The Etobicoke Sports Hall of Fame is excited to announce Jesse Zesseu as the Athlete of the Month for September 2024!
Jesse proudly represented Canada at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, earning a silver medal in the men’s discus F37 class with an impressive throw of 53.24m. A graduate of Bishop Allen Academy and the University of Guelph, Jesse is also a gold medalist and 2023 Canadian champion in the F37 discus, holding Canadian records in both the T37 long jump and F37 discus🥈.
With his sights set on the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games, Jesse continues to train hard and inspire others.

A graduate of Bishop Allen Academy, Sophie’s volleyball journey includes leading USC to back-to-back NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships and proudly representing Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympics! 🇨🇦🏐
When she's not competing, Sophie serves as Founder & Executive Director of The Northern Elite Volleyball Academy, mentoring the next generation of athletes.

Since 1967, Humber Athletics has been a powerhouse in Etobicoke. With 20 varsity teams and 15+ intramural sports, the Hawks uphold their "athletics for all" philosophy. They’ve earned 330+ OCAA golds and 67 national titles, with student-athletes excelling both on the field and in the classroom. 🌟

From playing with Etobicoke Thunder to shining at Richview CI, Stella has become one of Canada’s top basketball talents. Her achievements include:
- Back-to-back All Canadian Games Top 24
- 2024 Nike 3-Point Shootout Champion
- #14 on the Canletes All-Canadian ‘Fantastic 50’
Off the court, she’s an Honour Roll student, Duke of Edinburgh Award recipient, and a dedicated camp leader.
