Happy National Coaches Week!!

We would like to take a minute to appreciate our wonderful Coach, Sharon.

Sharon is an incredible coach in every aspect. She supports us, gives amazing coaching feedback, carries our enthusiasm, and shares our passion for the sport of curling. We are very grateful to have her, and would like to thank her for all her hours and hard work that she puts in to help us be our best selves as a team.

PHOENIX SLAM RECAP 🐦‍🔥🥌
🥈 2nd Place Finish!

Last weekend our team competed in the Junior Slam Series’ U18 Phoenix Slam in Kitchener-Waterloo. It was our first event together as a team, and it was incredible to be back on the ice.

We had a 5-1 final record as we went 4-0 through Round Robin, and made it all the way to the Finals before losing a well played game to Team Wilson (congrats on your win girls!). We are very proud of our result, and earned valuable Trillium/Slam Series points!

Sending a huge thank you to Curling Tools for sponsoring Team Twining this season. We were so excited to use our new Curling Tools brooms at the Pheonix Slam this past weekend. The brooms had a measurable impact on making some big shots! We can’t wait to train with the Smart Broom and keep improving our sweeping skills!

Summer vacation is over and we have all started back to school. Thank you Junior Slam Series for hosting an amazing event! Congratulations to Team Wilson on your championship win! We are very proud of our second place finish at the first event of the season and the first time we played together as a team! What a great weekend of building new friendships and catching up with those we haven’t seen over the summer. A huge shout out to our sponsors, we definitel couldn’t have done it without you!
