$100,000 FINALS COMING TO WOODBINE MOHAWK PARK
Woodbine Mohawk Park has announced four new Ontario Sired/Bred Harvest Overnight Series for three-year-olds, with each division featuring a $100,000 final.
Each series will include one $35,000 preliminary leg followed by the $100,000 final.

The events are for Ontario Sired or Ontario Bred three-year-olds who are non-winners of $150,000 in 2026 as of midnight September 30.
There are NO nomination or starting fees. Declarations close as posted on the weekly condition sheet.
Four series. Four $100,000 finals. Ontario-bred racing has plenty to look forward to this October.

$100 MILLION MILESTONE FOR DOUG McNAIR
Doug McNair has officially joined some very elite company.
On Sunday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park, McNair surpassed $100 million in career driver earnings, reaching the milestone in the sixth race aboard Stable Genius for trainer Dave Menary.
The milestone capped an incredible 24-hour stretch for McNair, who recorded five wins Saturday night before adding two Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots victories at Clinton on Sunday afternoon.
At just 36 years old, McNair has already recorded more than 5,100 career wins, 12 seasons with $5 million or more in earnings, an O’Brien Award as Canada’s Driver of the Year, two National Driving Championships and three Breeders Crown victories.
Congratulations to Doug McNair on an incredible achievement and a career that continues to reach new heights!

Detonater Hanover scores his first OSS Gold victory!
The 2-year-old trotting c**t battled all the way to the wire Friday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park, edging D A Johnny Cash by a neck in 1:54.1 to capture the lone $150,000 OSS Gold Leg 4 division.
The son of Muscle Mass is trained and owned by Dr. Ian Moore and driven by his son, Tyler Moore.
The victory was Detonater Hanover’s fourth career win, pushing his earnings to $268,482 from just seven starts.
A big night for the Moore team!

KING OF THE NORTH FILLIES SWEEP OSS GOLD!
Major Contender and Flawless Lady each captured a $100,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Leg 4 division, giving King Of The North fillies a clean sweep of the two divisions.
Major Contender, driven by Jody Jamieson and trained by Carl Jamieson, led gate-to-wire to score in 1:54, defeating favourite Verily by a half-length.
It was the second career win for Major Contender, who has now banked $161,533 in seven starts.
In the second division, Flawless Lady and James MacDonald battled to a head victory in 1:54.4, earning her first OSS Gold victory and her second consecutive win.
The Julie Walker trainee has now earned $69,775 in six career starts.
Two divisions. Two winners. One sire.
King Of The North fillies were GOLD on Friday night.

BEST CHIP BLOWS AWAY THE CANADIAN PACING DERBY!
The new kid on the free-for-all block is now a Grade 1 winner!
Best Chip powered to victory in Saturday night’s $705,000 Grade 1 Canadian Pacing Derby Final at Woodbine Mohawk Park, stopping the clock in 1:46.4 — matching the stakes record set by Bulldog Hanover in 2022.
Driven by Tim Tetrick and trained by Joe Bongiorno, Best Chip took control on the front end and never looked back, holding off Prince Hal Hanover by 1-3/4 lengths. Oakwood Ardan Ir rounded out the top three.
The victory marked Best Chip’s eighth win in 14 starts this season and his 13th career victory.

SUPER CHAPTER SETS THE RECORD!
Super Chapter delivered a sensational performance in Saturday night’s $620,000 Grade 1 Maple Leaf Trot, powering to a track and Canadian record 1:49.3 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Driven by Dexter Dunn and trained by Marcus Melander, Super Chapter made his move before the half and battled confidently through the stretch to hold off French W**e by three-quarters of a length. Emoticon Legacy finished third.
The 4-year-old Chapter Seven stallion lowered the previous track and Canadian record for an aged trotting stallion of 1:49.4, set by Aetos Kronos S in 2025.
The victory was also Melander’s third Maple Leaf Trot win, following victories with Crazy Wow in 2018 and Periculum in 2024.
With the win, Super Chapter reached $3.2 million in career earnings and now has 19 victories from 32 career starts.

FRANCENT N SETS A CANADIAN RECORD!
A $20,000 supplemental entry fee turned into a six-figure payday for Francent N, who powered to victory in Saturday night’s $255,000 Grade 2 Milton Stakes at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The 6-year-old pacing mare battled back after losing the lead around the final turn, reemerging on top in the stretch to win by three-quarters of a length in a stakes, track and Canadian-record 1:47.3!
Driven by Louis-Philippe Roy and trained by Jacques Dupont, Francent N held off Louies Girl N, with Unreasonable finishing third.
The clocking lowered the previous Canadian and track record of 1:47.4, set by Grace Hill in 2023.
Francent N has now won four straight races since arriving in North America and has 17 career victories from 35 starts, with $442,517 in earnings.
And this one came after her connections supplemented her to the Milton for $20,000.
What a payoff. What a mare.
