We have recently been informed that the Robron outdoor box has been locked as part of preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup watch party event being hosted at the park next Thursday.

At this time, all I know is the event is on June 18th and will remain closed until then and reopen after the event. We understand many of our players and families regularly use the outdoor box outside of scheduled practices and games, particularly during the box lacrosse season, and we recognize that this closure may be frustrating.

The association has reached out to Parks and Recreation to express our concerns regarding the closure, the lack of advance notice, and the impact on our players who rely on the facility for skill development and recreation.

We will continue to advocate for our members and will share any additional information as it becomes available. If you have concerns regarding the closure or access to the facility, we encourage you to respectfully direct your feedback to the City’s Parks and Recreation Department.
