Flex Sports Academy welcomes Nikita Korovkin to the coaching team.
Nikita was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2002 after four seasons in the WHL. He played professional hockey for over a decade. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management with a major in Hockey Coaching and brings over 15 years of coaching experience across North America and Europe.
Nikita’s coaching blends the fast paced style of North American hockey with the strategic, perimeter based style of European hockey, giving athletes a wider range of tools to use on the ice.
Welcome to the team, Nikita.

The player you see in practice should be the player who shows up in playoffs. That is the whole idea behind Compete Code, our new mental performance partner at Flex this season. Every athlete gets 3 to 5 game jobs built around their own pressure bottleneck, trained right into the reps they already run.

Behind every successful young athlete is a team of people who make the journey possible.
The early morning alarms.
The drives to practices and games.
The packed equipment bags.
The words of encouragement after a tough loss.
The cheers after a hard earned win.
Success in hockey isn't built by athletes alone. It's shaped by the parents, family members, friends, coaches, and supporters who show up, believe in them, and encourage them every step of the way.
To everyone standing behind the glass, sitting in the stands, or cheering from home, thank you for being part of the journey.
Your support helps build confident athletes, resilient teammates, and great people.
Tag someone who's made a difference in your hockey journey.

Character builds champions.
It's easy to celebrate goals, assists, and wins. They're visible. Character isn't.
Character shows up when a player keeps working after a tough game.
It shows up when they listen instead of making excuses.
It shows up when they encourage a teammate who's having a difficult shift.
It shows up when they respect the officials, their coaches, and the game itself.
Those moments don't appear on the scoresheet, but they're often what separate good athletes from great teammates.
At Flex Hockey Academy, we believe developing character is just as important as developing skills. When young athletes build both, they leave the rink with something that lasts far beyond hockey.
Which character trait has hockey helped your child develop the most?

Confidence begins with practice.
Every great player starts somewhere.
Confidence isn't built overnight. It's developed through consistent effort, quality coaching, and the willingness to keep learning with every practice.
At Flex Hockey Academy, we create an environment where young athletes can develop their skills, challenge themselves, and grow in confidence every time they step on the ice.
Every practice is a step forward.
What helps your athlete feel most confident before game day?

The best players never stop learning.
Every practice is a chance to improve.
Every game is an opportunity to grow.
Progress isn't measured by goals alone. It's built through the lessons athletes take from every drill, every shift, and every challenge they face.
Great players ask questions. They listen to their coaches. They learn from mistakes. Most importantly, they keep showing up with the mindset to get a little better each day.
Growth doesn't happen overnight. It happens one practice, one game, and one lesson at a time.
