What can I say, sometimes martial arts are confusing 🤷

We're really grateful for the opportunity to participate in Sport Calgary 's program! Hopefully you'll see us there again sometime soon.... 👀

We had a short (but packed!) trip to Toronto last month to attend a Taboada Balintawak seminar, and for Ian and Cat to test for their Completion of the Art rank.

We trained all day Thursday with Stick Fighting Toronto, at the Monkey Vault, and we were able to work with not only three Fully Qualified Instructors, but also many of SFT's students. Massive thank you to Glen Morales, Cindy Lum, and especially Peter Mitchell for all the help and guidance as we added in those final few tweaks before testing day (and for putting up with the intense heat!)

Then, on Friday and Saturday, we learned directly from Bobby Taboada, and worked with martial artists from across Canada and beyond. Everyone moves differently, and so some of the best (and most difficult!) learning happens when you get a chance to train with lots of different people!
