Morning Jazz Training is back this fall, led by Joanne Baker, Kimberley Cooper, Jamie Freeman Cormack, Sarisa Figueroa de Toledo, Laura Kleiner + special guests.

Designed for dance teachers, pre-professional and professional dancers, these classes dig into jazz technique, history, musicality and artistry.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays + Thursdays

Since 2013, Dancing Parkinson’s YYC has been offering dance classes designed specifically for people living with Parkinson’s disease.

With live musical accompaniment and a focus on rhythm, body awareness, coordination, and community connection, DPYYC classes are an uplifting and restorative experience for all who join.

🗓 Classes run Tuesdays, 1:30–2:30pm, September–June at DJD
🩰 In-Studio & Virtual Options Available (recordings also provided)
💲 $50 annual registration per person (unlimited access)

Today, we remember the extraordinary Oliver Jones (1934–2026).

A legendary pianist, composer, and one of Canada's greatest jazz artists, Oliver's music transcended generations. His unmistakable sound carried joy, tenderness, resilience, and an enduring love for jazz that will continue to inspire artists and audiences for years to come.

To honour his remarkable life and artistry, we've curated "Ode to Oliver", a playlist celebrating just a small selection of his incredible work.
