Hard to believe we are already less than a week away from September. Where did the summer go?!
Here’s a look at all the guild activities happening in September. There’s lots going on, from study groups to our AGM/Guild Meeting to our popular regular Studio Social Thursdays.
Members don't forget to prepare your show and tell for the meeting, along with the name tag challenge.
Interested in joining the guild? Come check us out at our upcoming AGM/Guild Meeting on Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00 pm. It’s a great opportunity to meet some of our members and learn more about what we do.

HALVDRALL: “What have I gotten myself into?”
One of the best parts of being a Guild member is getting to participate in collaborative weaving projects, and our recent Halvdrall-inspired tea towel project certainly gave everyone something to talk about!
When we asked our weavers when they had that “What have I gotten myself into?” moment, the answers included:
🧶 When the colour plan didn’t work at all.
🧶 The third time they ripped out their weaving.
🧶 When keeping track of the pattern felt like “rubbing my tummy, patting my head and tapping my toes.” 😂
🧶 When they found themselves talking out loud to remember the pattern.
🧶 And one weaver? “Never. Once I figured out the treadles, it was easy.”
But underneath all the laughter is what makes these projects so rewarding: we learn from each other, solve problems together, and end up with something none of us would have created alone.
Would most of us do it again? ABSOLUTELY!
And just look at the results up close. We are looking forward to seeing everyone's finished tea towels at our AGM in September.
Which handwoven tea towel project has been your “What have I gotten myself into?” moment?
