UNPOPULAR LIFESTYLE OPINION:
REAL INCLUSIVITY SHOULDNβT FEEL PERFORMATIVE.
Inclusivity should mean people feel welcome, respected, and comfortable being themselves.
Not singled out.
Not put on display.
Not treated like a symbol.
And not made to feel like they were included just so someone else can prove how inclusive they are.
At the same time, inclusion shouldnβt mean other people are pushed to the sidelines or made to feel like their presence matters less.
We donβt all need to be the same.
We donβt all have the same experiences.
We donβt all have the same preferences, identities, relationships, or boundaries.
Thatβs okay.
The goal shouldnβt be to erase those differences.
It should be to make sure those differences donβt determine who gets basic dignity, courtesy, and respect.
You donβt have to be attracted to everyone.
You donβt have to agree with everyone.
You donβt have to connect with everyone.
But everyone should be treated like they belong in the room.
Because real inclusion isnβt about checking boxes.
It isnβt about optics.
And it isnβt about making some people feel showcased while others feel forgotten.
Different people.
Different experiences.
Different preferences.
Same baseline of respect.
Maybe thatβs what inclusion should look like.
Agree or disagree?

IS SAVING A FEW BUCKS WORTH THE RISK?
House parties can be fun. No argument there.
But when someone regularly hosts lifestyle events in their home and charges admission, I think there are some questions people should be asking before handing over their money.
What happens if somebody gets seriously injured?
Is the event properly insured for dozens of paying guests, or are everyoneβs fingers just crossed?
What happens when somebody gets drunk, aggressive or refuses to leave?
Is there actual securityβor is the homeowner expected to deal with it?
And probably the biggest question in our community:
What happens when thereβs a consent violation?
Who handles the complaint?
Who removes someone?
Is there a written policy?
Is there trained staff?
Is the incident documented?
Or does it turn into, βWell, theyβre our friends, so letβs just work this outβ¦β?
Legitimate venues spend a lot of time and money dealing with insurance, occupancy, fire safety, liquor requirements, staff, security and procedures for exactly these reasons.
That doesnβt make every house party unsafe.
But once youβre regularly charging people to attend, you should probably be prepared to accept the responsibilities that come with running an event too.
Because when everything goes well, none of this seems important.
Itβs the night something goes wrong that matters.
Would you feel safer at a properly operated venueβor does it make no difference to you?

I think the lifestyle community is getting a little confused with all the influencers, coaches and new labels being thrown around.
Maybe Iβm old school, but I remember when it was just called the lifestyle. Swingers, open minded couples and singles, people exploring and figuring out what worked for them.
Now it seems like everyone needs a new label for everything. ENM, poly, relationship anarchy, solo poly, hierarchical, non-hierarchical, monogamish⦠the list just keeps growing.
Iβm not saying the labels are all bad. Some of them help people explain what theyβre looking for and thatβs totally fair.
I just think sometimes we make this way more complicated than it needs to be.
At the end of the day, I donβt really care what someone calls themselves. What matters to me is how they treat people.
Consent, honesty, communication, boundaries and respect.
Those things mattered in the lifestyle long before Instagram coaches and influencers started explaining it to everyone, and they still matter now.
Call it swinging. Call it ENM. Call it poly. Call it whatever works for you.
Just remember a label doesnβt automatically make someoneβs behaviour ethical.
How you treat people does. π

A little food for thought... π
The lifestyle doesn't need more influencers. It needs more people with real experience.
There is no single "right" way to do ethical non-monogamy. Every relationship is different. What matters is consent, communication, honesty, and respecting each other's boundaries.
Be cautious about anyone claiming they've figured it all out. The loudest voices online aren't always the wisest. After nearly 20 years in the lifestyle, we've learned that the healthiest relationships are usually built through experienceβnot Instagram reels or expensive webinars.
At Club R, we care far more about how you treat people than how many followers you have.
That said, there are some fantastic creators out there. The ones we appreciate most are the people who showcase clubs, events, and community, rather than trying to dictate how everyone else's relationships should work.
Trust your gut. Learn from your peers. Respect consent. Find the path that works for you.
And if someone tells you they've discovered the one true way to do the lifestyle... they might just be trying to sell you something. π

June is a reminder that strength comes in many forms.
It's Men's Mental Health Month.
It's National Pride Month.
At Club R, we believe everyone deserves a place where they feel accepted, respected, supported, and free to be themselves.
To the men carrying more than they show...
It's okay to talk.
It's okay to ask for help.
It's okay to not be okay.
To our LGBTQ+ members and friends...
We see you.
We support you.
We celebrate you.
Club R has always been about connection, community, acceptance, and creating a space where people can be authentic without judgment.
Because at the end of the day, we're more than a club.
We're a community. π€
