Final Four Set for $30,000 Battle of the North Championship Final

The final four drivers who will compete in Sunday’s $30,000 Championship Final Heat, with the winner taking home the 2026 Battle of the North Championship, have now been determined. Jamie Laboucane, Chanse Vigen, Obrey Motowylo and Jason Glass will battle it out for the 2026 Battle of the North Championship in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.

The Connie Patterson Aggregate winner is Jamie Laboucane Chuckwagon Team after 4 days at the Dawson Creek Exhibition & Stampede

For the third night in a row the Kirks Trail Tire Lethbridge Wheels on Fire Fast Time of the evening went to Jamie Laboucane. Jason Glass, Luke Tournier, Chanse Vigen & Obrey Motowylo rounded out the top five on the night.

Jamie will receive a year lease for a GMC Truck for his aggregate win. Joining Jamie in Sunday's dash will be Chanse Vigen, Obrey Motowylo & Jason Glass. Tune in for a fun final in Dawson Creek.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WPCA DRIVER DOUG IRVINE

A proven force on the WPCA Pro Tour, Doug has excelled as both a championship chuckwagon driver and elite outrider. He has won five WPCA show championships, including wins at the Ponoka and Grande Prairie Stampedes.

As an outrider, he has been part of multiple Rangeland Derby, Aggregate, and Ponoka Stampede championship outfits.

Another great night of races at the Dawson Creek Exhibition & Stampede on Friday Night.

For the second night in a row the Kirks Trail Tire Lethbridge Wheels on Fire Fast Time of the evening went to Jamie Laboucane Chuckwagon Team. Chanse Vigen, Rae Croteau Jr, Obrey Motowylo and Kurt Bensmiller rounded out the top five of the night.

With two day money runs Jamie Laboucane also leads the aggregate race. With two second places, Chanse Vigen is second. Obrey Motowylo and Kurt Bensmiller round out the top four with Dayton Sutherland currently on the outside looking in for Sunday's Dash with one more night to go. The Aggregate winner will receive a One Year GMC Lease along with being named the Connie Patterson Aggregate Champion.

Weather and racetrack conditions were absolutely perfect for Night 3 of the Battle of the North at Mile Zero of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. A comfortable 20°C, fast racetrack conditions, and a fantastic crowd set the stage for another outstanding night of chuckwagon racing. For the second consecutive night, 2026 Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Champion Jamie Laboucane captured the Kirk's Trail Tire Wheels on Fire Fast Time of the Night, this time with a spectacular run of 1:12.31.
