Whether you joined us once or stood with us year after year, your generosity and spirit have shaped the Dunne Classic Golf Tournament into something bigger than a day on the course. You built a community — one that laughs together, looks out for each other, and rallies to make life better for people living with lung disease across Alberta.
We pause to remember and celebrate Jack.
Jack Dunne was a beloved motivator, mentor, and educator — and in his last years, a warrior who faced cancer and COPD at the same time with courage, humour, and grace. His legacy is more than a tournament; it’s a living example of showing up for others, bringing out the best in people, and meeting challenges with heart.
It is with some sadness that we inform our supporters that the Dunne Classic will be taking a break. We know this is disappointing news. Please know the mission at the tournament’s core continues: supporting Alberta Lung and the vital care and comfort they provide to patients and families. Your past participation has already moved that mission forward in meaningful ways.
On behalf of the Dunne family and our organizing team, thank you for your enduring support, your presence on the fairways, and your belief in this cause. Jack would be proud of what you’ve made possible as we carry his legacy forward together.
