Cody’s Bikes

Well, I didn't know this would hit so many people! It's been kind of a whirlwind here at Cody's bikes over the last week or so. Someone in Auburn Bay named Kirsty called 101.5 TODAY RADIO and got me on the radio yesterday morning for their segment with Rob and Shayne called 'Turn-around Tuesday'. Really fun! Thanks everyone for all of the support.

WE DID IT! ONE THOUSAND BIKES!
This is Dylan. He and his dad Kevin dropped by today and picked up the 1000th kids bike given away.
This is so incredible that I don't have a lot of words. Auburn Bay and the surrounding SE communities have chipped in, donated, spread the word, had a beer at the garage, picked up dead hulks of bikes (thanks Kyle).
This Cleary bike was donated by another community member that has had a big impact on this big/little project. Kudos.
Thank you so much to everyone that has helped. It fills my heart a to be able to raise the floor, even just a little bit, for a few people.

Hey! Here's Katie. She trusted me to get her bike ready for the Penticton Peach Classic triathlon. This was her first triathlon. Congrats, Katie, on killin' it! I quote, "The swim was brutal, which I expected, but glad it's over."😂 Way to go Katie!!

Okay. I don't really know what to think here. Is it the home stretch or just the beginning? I literally have enough kids bikes in my driveway to get to 1000 bikes given to kids that did not have a bike before. This number does not include - adult bikes, bikes to Canadian newcomers, trade-up bikes and special requests. I am so proud of this community!! If I was to try to thank every person that has donated a bike or money or time or beer or chocolate or bike parts....well, it would be endless. Stay tuned for the 1000th kids' bike given away!

Great evening here on the corner. Some bikes. Some beers. Some rotten little kids. Lots of good people dropping by. Very happy to be the mayor of Auburn Glen Manor...LOL.

I'm sorry everyone. I've been called away on a solemn duty. I won't be able to fix your bikes for a week or so. I'm on vacation with my family. We've been trying to think about you, but with all of the sun and sand and cerveza... well... it's tough. Cya when we're back!
