Things are heating up in preseason week 2 for the Men’s Team Competition! The top 4 teams have separated from the pack. 5th place sits a full 5 points back of the leaders.
Congrats to “The Big House” led by Eric Nikiel & Kyle on taking the early lead behind a dominant performance at the first session!

This competition will be going on all year and every Men’s player is taking part and adding points!

The BLRC Senior Men’s schedules are set! The Premier Men begin the season on the road, Sep 12th with a battle vs Westshore Rugby Football Club ! Plan your schedule, no, your entire life around catching the Blue & White in action this year!!

The wait is over! The 2026/27 season is about to begin!
Pre season training will begin for the Men’s and Women’s programs on Tuesday Aug 11th from 7-8:30pm at the Burnaby Lake Rugby Club. New players are welcome to come down and check it out!

A New Era Begins.
The BLRC are proud to announce a change at the top of the BLRC Mens program. Leo Chen, the 2025/26 Premier Mens MVP and BLRC Top XV winner will be taking the reins as Premier Mens Captain this season.
Leo ( ) is a graduate of the program who is entering his 3rd season with the BLRC Premier Team. The Big 2nd Row was instrumental in the success of the club last season with a huge work-rate and a nose for the try line plus some punishing tackles. We’d expect big things from Leo and the Mens program going forward and have complete faith in Leo’s ability to take us to the next level!

We’d like to thank our outgoing captain, Mr Bryce Worden for his years of dedication to the Blue and White, both on and off the pitch. A true club guy, Bryce led from the front, never saying “go”, always saying “let’s go”. That’s how legends are made. Thanks Bryce & we’ll see you back soon!

End of the 15s season got you down? Fear not, the summer touch season is just around the corner!

Starting Thursday May 21st, we will be running co-ed social touch rugby on Field 7 at BLRC.

Post touch, the clubhouse patio will be open for all your beverage needs. Full bar available!

New for 2026, we will be hosting a BBQ every Thursday after touch. $2 cash or purchase a punch card for $20 via cash or square.
