Everything Ryu's Taekwondo has been able to accomplish in spreading positive energy throughout our community has been possible because of the passion, dedication, and teamwork of all our instructors and Leadership Team members.
Before beginning the second half of the year, we took time to strengthen our team bond. By supporting one another, filling in each other's gaps, and growing together, the Ryu's Taekwondo team is ready to continue serving and inspiring our students and families throughout the rest of the year.
Let's go Ryu's!

On Saturday, May 23rd, we were honored to be invited to the SFDS Spring Fair in Burnaby, where Ryuās Taekwondo had the opportunity to join many members of the community and create another wonderful memory together.
It was truly meaningful for us to share the values and benefits of Taekwondo with the community, and it was also a valuable experience for our team to demonstrate their skills and continue to grow through this event.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who worked so hard to make this event such a success, and thank you again for inviting Ryuās Taekwondo to be a part of such a special community celebration!

Last Saturday, May 16th, twelve students completed their Taekwondo 1st Poom/Dan official test held at the Burnaby Main Branch, which lasted over three hours, after more than three years of dedicated Taekwondo training.
These twelve candidates will receive official certificates from the Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters, and their proud names will also be officially recorded in the World Taekwondo database.
We would like to express our deepest respect and sincere gratitude to all the parents who continuously provided unwavering support and encouragement whenever their children felt like giving up along the way.
Please remember that achieving 1st Poom/Dan is not the end, but the true beginning. We hope each student will continue to train diligently, further develop both their skills and character, become excellent role models for their junior Taekwondo peers, and grow into strong future leaders of Ryu's Taekwondo. Please never forget that the true significance of Taekwondo lies not in physical techniques, but in the development of oneās character.
The 16th Poom/Dan Presentation Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 13th.
As you continue through life, we hope you will overcome every challenge with the indomitable spirit of Taekwondo that you have learned throughout your journey.
Please join me in congratulatingĀ ourĀ proudĀ future leaders.
1st degree Poom: Collin Zhang, Eliana Liu, Lorraine Zhang, Nathan Zhang, Rinhee Han, Doris Zhang, Petra Zica, Candice Lo, Jocelyn Lo, Evan Mark, Doyoon Mok

Twelve trainees, after beginning their journey in Taekwondo and completing about three years of training, earned the qualification to take their first Poom/Dan promotion test and went through the preliminary evaluation.
After patiently learning and practicing all this time, they will take the examination this Saturday May 16th, and upon qualifying, they will receive their certification in June. They are all students to be proud of.
