It’s National Coaches Week, and we’re celebrating Coach Marina!

Marina has been part of the synchronized skating community for many years as both a skater and coach. She brings a passion for team development, performance and creating meaningful opportunities for adult skaters to her role with GVSSC.

Off the ice, Marina works in healthcare leadership and enjoys reading, staying active and being a mom to her young daughter.

With over 20 years of synchronized skating experience, Alyson brings a lifelong love of the sport to GVSSC. Her background in kinesiology, music and medicine brings a unique perspective to her coaching.

Off the ice, Alyson is a family physician who enjoys skating, Pilates and spending time with her family.

Celebrating Coach Julianna 🖤⛸️

It’s National Coaches Week, and we’re celebrating the amazing coaches behind GVSSC!

Meet Coach Julianna, a former Junior Canadian National Champion and international synchronized skating competitor who brings her experience, creativity and love of synchro to our Adult 2 team.

This season, Julianna is also the choreographer for all three GVSSC teams, helping bring each team’s program and vision to life! ✨

Off the ice, Julianna is a Geotechnical Engineer here in Vancouver.

We’re so lucky to have her as part of our GVSSC coaching team. Happy National Coaches Week, Julianna! 🖤

Congratulations to our teams competing in the West Coast Challenge last weekend! Our Adult 2 team placed 2nd and our Juvenile team placed 3rd! Our intermediate/gold level team scored very high in their category as well! Excellent job everyone! We are so proud of our teams and all of the hard work they have put into their programs this season!
