I still can’t believe I’m sitting here writing this.
I started Just Hand stuff in 2021 with a dream of sharing my hand balms with the climbing community that I loved so much. Making the balms and creating the brand was one of the most fun things I’ve done in my life, but when my first child came, and my other creative endeavours started taking off, I came to a realization that I just wasn’t to give JHS the love and effort it deserved.
A few years ago I came to a crossroads, close JHS or keep going. I chose to keep going despite feeling burnt out and despite my gut feeling that it wasn’t right. I just felt like I couldn’t stop offering a hand care solution that people believed in, even if it was at a personal cost.
A few months ago, as I was preparing to welcome my second baby, that same gut feeling came roaring back, and I couldn’t ignore it anymore.
Closing JHS feels incredibly bittersweet, in ways I can’t even put into words. But one thing I’ll forever be grateful for is the community that was here, that welcomed me, welcomed the balms, and supported me. I want to especially thank for stocking our balms, for being a phenomenal community and simply for believing in us.
