IOGKF Canada is a branch of IOGKF International and has dojo (schools) in several provinces. We host various events throughout the year for our members.
Our chief instructor is Sensei Tetsuji Nakamura, World Chief Instructor of IOGKF International.

The 2027 IOGKF World Chief Instructors Gasshuku will take place in a very special location. IOGKF has been able to secure the famous Kyoto Prefectural Butokuden. In 1933 and 1935 Miyagi Chojun Sensei (founder of Goju-ryu Karate) performed demonstrations at this unique location. In 1935 Chojun Sensei was assisted by Jitsuei Yogi Sensei. Yogi Sensei recalled that Chojun Sensei performed Sesan Kata and then Yakusoku Kumite. Yogi Sensei said "as Chojun Sensei's partner, I was really afraid. He would perform with great seriousness and because of this, sometimes he would make contact with his techniques".
It will be extremely special for IOGKF country heads and seniors to return this location some 90 + years after Miyagi Chojun Sensei performed so incredibly in the same place.
