Happy Father's Day! Mike and 3 of his 4 sons Owen, Evan and Brody played their Father's Day round a day early.
They're avid softball players and regulars at Burlington Springs who only got into the game 2 years ago. They describe it as "fun and frustrating"... which sounds just like those of us who've been navigating the fairways much longer 😉
Was also cool they played a family best ball scramble which is a great way for different skill levels to enjoy the game and contribute. We highly recommend it.
Have a fabulous day Dads!

One of our turtles saw fit to do a little sunning on #8 green this week... not caring at all about his/her pace of play... 😉
Apologies, this is a long post but all golfers can benefit by following our Pace of Play tips below and sharing them with the rest of your group.
1. Stay in POSITION – keep up to the group in front of you, then you won’t ever have to worry about the group behind you
2. Play READY golf – whoever is ready to play, regardless of distance, should hit or even putt when safe to do so
3. Spend 2 mins MAX looking for your lost ball – keep a close eye on where it went in and drop another quickly if you know it’s gone
4. Play APPROPRIATE TEES – Blue tees are suited to players who regularly shoot in the mid 80s or lower. Consider moving up to the Light Blues from the Whites if you’ve lost some distance. Remember, shorter shots into the greens typically produce better scores
5. Minimize PRE-SHOT ROUTINE – have a pre-shot routine but keep it simple, take one practice swing, trust your first line when putting, be ready to hit when it’s your turn, don’t be a “Patrick Cantlay”.
6. Use your POWER CART effectively – drop your partner at his/her ball and drive to yours, or park midway between and walk over
7. Have great CONVERSATIONS – but don’t start telling the story when it’s your turn to hit or putt.
Remember, the entire golf course is behind you and, if you’re playing at a 5 hr pace, then so is EVERYONE else. Be considerate of that and we’ll all wait less and enjoy our round at Burlington Springs even more.

Hole in One Alert - Member Woo Young "Kevin" Kang made his 2nd lifetime ace on #3 from 156 yards with his 6 iron.
Kevin's wife and member Sunny carded a hole in one last July on the very same hole!
If that isn't incentive for bringing your spouse out to Burlington Springs, we don't know what is... 😉

Meet Aditya, an aspiring golf influencer who's only played the game since 2023.
Starting this season, Aditya has been blogging his golf journey on an Instagram page The.Golf.Den including his experience on #14 and #18 at Burlington Springs.

Aditya is a married young father from Mississauga who's clearly addicted to golf. As you'll see he hits it a ton off the tee but continues to work on saving strokes around the green... sound familiar 😉
We salute Aditya's efforts to encourage other younger players to hit the ⛳ course!

Hole in One Alert... plus 2 Par 4 Eagles
Congrats to Ricky Ragoonanan who made the first Burlington Springs ace of the season with his 6 iron from 154 yds on #17.
Ricky contracted the golf bug 22 years ago at a company golf tourney and scored his first hole in one 4 yrs ago.
Member Joanne Boelhouwer made 2 par 4 eagles in her last handful of rounds on #9 and #11, both from 100+ yards.
Joanne's been playing for 9 yrs and, as we can attest, absolutely hammers her driver.
Come out and make your own hole in one soon!

Happy Mother's Day... especially to those of you who love golf!
That definitely applies to Linda Spurrell who played 60 rounds last season. The mother of 4, including twin sons, describes the game as "fun frustration" which we agree is a perfect explanation.
Linda, who's played for 12 years, just got a new set of clubs and loves her 3 wood most of all.
Many thanks to all the golfing mothers who frequent Burlington Springs... we hope you have a great day!
