Guess who’s back and walking in a mostly straight line again?

After some unplanned “ankle renovations,” LakeSiders Outdoors is officially reopening — and I’m beyond grateful to be back on my feet and back in the shop.

Thank you to everyone who checked in, sent messages, or just patiently waited while I healed up. This community means the world to me. The doors are open, the bait is fresh, the coffee is strong, and I’m probably cleared for light manual labour.

LakeSiders is back!

Hey folks — just a quick update.

I’m going in for ankle surgery and will be off my feet for a bit, so LakeSiders Outdoors will be closed for the next couple of days while I heal up.

Thanks for your patience and support. I’ll keep everyone posted and be back behind the counter as soon as I can hobble my way there.

LakeSiders is Temporarily Closed

Turns out our plumbing decided to go fishing for attention.
One fitting gave up faster than a trout on a Tuesday. So until we get this soggy situation sorted, LakeSiders Outdoors is closed.

We’ll be back soon — hopefully with fewer puddles and more worms. Thanks for your patience, and remember: if your tackle’s dry, you’re doing it wrong.

Family affair when it comes time to pupate superworms. This is our first attempt to rear adult beetles for breeding. Lets see how this goes!

LakeSiders Outdoors is “closed due to illness” today…
Turns out I’m suffering from a severe case of Dad Priorities.

Symptoms include:
• Sudden urge to take my daughter fishing
• Uncontrollable need for an adventure day
• Zero interest in being a responsible adult when the sun’s out

So we packed the rods, tackle and snackle boxes, bait, and hit the road to make some memories before she grows up.

Thanks for understanding, folks. The shop will be open tomorrow — hopefully with a kid who out-fished me and a dad who pretends he’s fine with it.
