Infinum Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Tiny but mighty comp team for Great Lakes Open. Outstanding performances from our competitors who brought home 13 medals between 10 participants. Proud to see not just Infinum HQ, but our affiliate on the Top Lists and the broader Infinum Canada affiliation breaking a top 5 for the first (but far from the last) time.

Even better than the hardware was the improvements so many members made from their prior performances. We had a few kids who had a hard time earlier this year that absolutely crushed it this weekend with their performances which is what this is all about.

The truth is... It's impossible to put all the benefits we've seen in hundreds of men who have come through our doors.

We could have gathered a bunch of studies to show how exactly it works.

But undeniably, we see the proof every day on the mats. It's why Infinum exists.

Yes we are a very technical team with incredibly capable coaches to develop the best possible practitioners of Jiu Jitsu. That's the mechanism.

But the result? Too many to mention. People who have been able to reduce and eliminate their medications. People who have kicked addictions. People who have used Jiu Jitsu to manage their trauma and return to the workforce.

The practice looks like arm bars and takedowns and sweeps. But the result is realizing who you really are and what you can really do. The results is freedom to control your thoughts and actions.

That is priceless and it is why we do what we do every day.

Find yourself a good academy. Train. I beg you.

We had a bunch of first time competitors display their courage by stepping on the competition mats for the first time.

The results are great, but the true value is the growth. Not a single kid quit on themselves no matter how hard it got which shows the heart of a champion. The rest is the details which we will work on in class 🙂✍️🤼‍♂️

The team fought their hearts out out there. Even in the tough matches there was focus with no loss of composure. The losses came from very fixable decisions and will spur the growth for our team in the coming weeks 🌱🤙

Infinum BJJ is now Infinum Canada and growing as an organization. 🌱

The facilities and people vary but the mission across our organization is the same: to use our mats as a vehicle for self and community improvement by providing the best possible programs for member development in the process.💪
