My favourite powwow of the year!

This event always feels like home to me. 🩵

Had the honour of being presented with to***co to dance for someone’s loved one who had passed. This is the job of the jingle dancer, to accept the to***co, dance in a good way, and place the to***co in the sacred fire to lift those prayers up to Creator.

What a privilege it is to dance jingle.

My pictures never lie- I LOVE this race! 😍

Dropped down to the 16.6 km from the 33.3km today at Happy Trails Racing Devils Key and I was quickly reminded why I love this course so much! Beautiful, runnable, varied terrain, the best people- I could get lost out here all day! 😍

And I always get signs from my Dad on the trails and I wasn’t disappointed today. He likes to drop his hockey number into my day whenever he wants my attention and in the end I PRd from last year by EXACTLY 1️⃣2️⃣ minutes! 🥹

Thank you to Heather for the BEAUTIFUL handcrafted medals, and thanks again to Happy Trails Racing for another incredible race experience! Will definitely keep coming back!

Another day, another trail. 🌲 ☀️ 😍

This time AllTrails sent me to Chesney Conservation area and I basically had the whole trail to myself!

Couldn’t follow the AllTrails route as the second half of the loop was not maintained and wasn’t overly safe.

The first half of the loop though (which had easy turnaround access at the half) was STUNNING!! 🤩

Nothing like a carpet of pine needles cushioning your every step… literal heaven! 🩵

Today’s Apple Playlist is from 2007.
I was teaching Grade 9 French that year and this song was the ringtone on my Motorola Krazr phone 📱…. IYKYK 😍
