REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 15, 2026 AT NOON FOR THE WHEAT CITY RUN!

We are super excited to be opening registration for the Wheat City Run tomorrow.

In hopes to give a little more inforation about the event below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Are strollers allowed during the run?
A: Yes! We do ask that you review the routes as the 5k is mainly road conditions and would favour strollers and the 10k and 1/2 Marathon do involve more gravel and trail conditions. If you are unsure, we will be posting pictures from the routes once the ground becomes more favourable!

Q: Can i run the 0.5 Mile for fun or as a warm up with a 0.5 Mile participant?
A: Yes! We would love that. Registrants would be the only one recieving the medal, bib, and shirt but if you would like to join them on this fun run we would 100% allow that. This is also the reason we have the 0.5 Mile Fun Run at 9:00am when the other events start at 9:30am and on.

Q: Will there be time limits for each run?
A: There are time limits but we have attempted to make them as long as we could.
0.5 Mile (800 Meters) - 25minutes
5KM - 2 hours
10KM - 3 hours
21.1KM - 3 hours and 10 mintutes (1pm)

Q: Are the routes confirmed yet?
A: The rough location of the routes are confirmed. They will take place from Dinsdale Park going North on 1st Street and then West on Kirkaldy going into the City of Brandon trail routes. In July the routes and distances are going to be certified and then we will be posting the 100% accurate routes for everyone to see!
*THE HALF MARATHON WILL LIKELY BE TWO LAPS OF THE 10K ROUTE WITH A SMALL ADDITION MAKING UP THE 1.1KM NEEDED*

GIVEAWAY!! (NOW CLOSED) To celebrate the approval of the first annual Wheat City Run and registration opening April 15, 2026 at 12pm. Brydges Property Management will be covering the cost and giving away the first ever registration and bib number "0001" for the Wheat City Run!

Wheat City Run is officially approved by the City of Brandon and will be held October 3, 2026. We are proud to announce we will be sanctioned by the Manitoba Runners Association and that registration will open April 15, 2026 at 12pm!
