I wanted to personally address the concerns around the Wheat City Fall Festival poster.

Yes, the poster was created using AI.

It was a quick decision made while we were trying to get information about the festival out. We’re currently in the middle of some changes within our marketing team, and our primary social media person has also been away dealing with some significant health concerns. I stepped in and made a quick call to keep things moving.

That decision missed the mark, and I understand why people were disappointed by it.

The Keystone Centre is part of this community, and we work with so many talented local people, businesses and organizations. I can absolutely understand why using AI for the poster didn’t sit right with some of you.

I also want to apologize for not addressing the concerns sooner. It was never our intention to ignore anyone or dismiss the conversation happening online.

This festival is meant to celebrate our community. We’re working with Westman Dreams for Kids, Waves of Hope, the Brandon Wheat Kings, local performers, vendors and a Manitoba family-run midway, and there is a lot about this event that we’re genuinely excited to share.

I made a quick decision, and I take responsibility for it.

Thank you to everyone who spoke up. We’ve heard the feedback, and we’ll do better moving forward.

I hope you’ll still come out and enjoy the Wheat City Fall Festival and support all of the local people and organizations helping bring it together.

The Wheat City Fall Festival

Brandon, MB – The Keystone Centre is pleased to present the first annual Wheat City Fall Festival for 3-exciting days September 18-20, 2026, being held on The Keystone Centre Grounds in Brandon, MB starting at 5:00PM on Friday! The festival is about community, supporting local and loving local. It will be a family-fun weekend featuring the Select Shows Midway, local vendors, live entertainment, and delicious food options from Westman-area food trucks; experience local entertainment and cheer on our hometown team, The Brandon Wheat Kings.
