Kids PANS Camp is not just normal training.
For 10 weeks, these kids commit themselves to a goal. They’re expected to be fully focused on the mats, fuel their bodies properly at home, get enough rest, and put in the extra work needed to improve.
But it goes far beyond Jiu Jitsu. They’re expected to be responsible, help out at home, stay on top of their schoolwork, and carry themselves with discipline and respect.
This isn’t about creating great Jiu Jitsu athletes. It’s about teaching kids how to set a goal, work hard, overcome challenges, and become the best version of themselves.
My hope is that years from now, when these kids face difficult moments in life, they can look back on this experience and remember: “I’ve done hard things before. I know what I’m capable of.”
If they can commit to this, they can accomplish anything they set their minds to.

This year’s Ontario Open gave us the opportunity to identify our athletes strengths and weaknesses as we begin our Kids Pans camp. This year we plan on taking the guess work out of their jiu jitsu. It is going to be less about taking what’s given to them, and more about them knowing exactly which moves and positions they want to be in, deliberately taking those positions, and having the confidence to do so. This years Kids Pans is going to be the best yet for the grey belt dream team!

Shout out to all the women at Brampton bjj. Stepping on the mats is scary enough, stepping on the mats in a male dominated sport is even scarier. These women pave the way for other women and girls and prove there is room for them in this sport. Thank you!
