There was something about this setting that made us want to sing Ravi. 🌿🎶

A beautiful stream flowing behind us, the willow dancing in the wind, and a song that is simply a pleasure to sing and listen to.

Ravi by Sajjad Ali first drew us in through its melody. But beneath that beauty lies something deeply human — longing. The longing for what feels distant, the remembrance of what once felt close, and the wish to somehow return.

And longing need not end with another person. Look deeply enough, and perhaps every longing is pointing us towards something more fundamental — a search for completeness, for home, for that which cannot be taken away by distance or time.

That is what makes a beautiful song even more meaningful to us at The Sacred Chord — when music becomes a doorway to look within.

A hip fracture later in life can be the beginning of a major decline in independence, mobility, and quality of life.

But we don’t suddenly become old one day.
How we move at 70 is influenced by how we train at 30, 40, 50 and 60.

That’s one reason I love the Kettlebell Get-Up. 💪

It’s not just one exercise — it combines multiple movement skills into one controlled sequence:

• Shoulder mobility & stability
• Core strength
• Hip mobility
• Lower-body strength
• Balance & coordination
• Full-body stability
• And most importantly — the ability to get yourself up from the ground

Strength isn’t only about lifting heavier weights. It’s about building a body that continues to serve you as you age.

Train today for the life you want to live decades from now.

Low back pain after hours of sitting? Your low back may not be the only area that needs attention. 👇

Long hours of sitting can leave the hip flexors tight, glutes underactive, and core less engaged—all of which can affect how your lower back feels and moves.

Here are 3 simple stretches for temporary relief:

1️⃣ Kneeling Hip Tuck — opens up the hip flexors and front of the hips.
2️⃣ Glute Stretch — releases tension around the glutes and hips.
3️⃣ Ball Stretch — helps relax and decompress the lower back.

These can feel great when you’re stiff or achy, but stretching alone isn’t the permanent solution.

Next, I’ll be sharing mobility and strengthening drills to address the underlying issues—working on the hips, glutes, core, and overall movement quality. 💪

Relief is step one. Better movement is the goal.

Save this for the next time your low back feels tight! 🔖

5 exercises I’d do for the rest of my life 💪

If I could only choose 5 exercises to keep my body strong, functional and capable for life, these would be my picks:

1. Pull-Ups 🧗
🎯 Lats, traps, rhomboids, rear delts, biceps, brachialis, forearms & core
Movement: Pull

2. Push-Ups 🔥
🎯 Chest, front delts, triceps, serratus anterior & core
Movement: Push

3. Romanian Deadlifts (RDLs) 🏋️
🎯 Hamstrings, glutes, spinal erectors, adductors, upper back, forearms & core
Movement: Hinge

4. Squats 🦵
🎯 Quads, glutes, adductors, hamstrings, calves, spinal erectors & core
Movement: Squat

5. Loaded Carries 🚶‍♂️
🎯 Forearms/grip, traps, shoulders, core, spinal stabilizers, glutes, quads, hamstrings & calves
Movement: Carry

Together, these cover the fundamental patterns I want to preserve: push, pull, squat, hinge and carry.

For me, training isn’t only about building muscle or looking good. It’s about maintaining strength, mobility, stability, grip and independence as I get older.

Simple movements. Progressive overload. Consistency for life.

If you could only choose 5 exercises for the rest of your life, what would they be? 👇

Nature leaves me speechless.

Pictures from Seven Sisters (England) on my birthday.

Follow by Edinburgh (Scotland) and the breathtaking landscapes of Glencoe, without a doubt, some of the most beautiful places I’ve had the privilege of visiting.

More than the scenery, I’m grateful for the opportunity to travel, to experience different corners of the world, and to meet kind, thoughtful, and wise people along the way. Every journey has offered not just new views, but new perspectives.

Looking back, I feel fortunate that life has led me here. And looking ahead, I hope to keep learning, stay curious, and continue walking the path that keeps me grounded..

Losing a few kilos after a vacation or a period of overeating doesn’t have to involve extreme diets.

I recently lost 10 lbs (about 4.5 kg) in just two to three weeks by getting back to a few simple habits. If your goal is to lose around 3 kg in 2 weeks, these three tips can make a huge difference:

✅ 1. Track everything you eat
Download a calorie-tracking app like Cronometer or HealthifyMe and log every meal for two weeks. The first couple of days take a little effort, but you’ll quickly become more mindful of portion sizes, snacks, and hidden calories.

🏋️ 2. Exercise consistently
Aim for at least 3 workouts per week. It doesn’t have to be complicated—strength training, brisk walking, cycling, or any activity you enjoy. Consistency matters far more than intensity.

⏳ 3. Stop eating 4 hours before bed
Giving your body a longer overnight fasting window can help reduce unnecessary late-night snacking, improve digestion, and make it easier to maintain a calorie deficit.

🎯 Bonus tip: Prioritize protein (around 30 g per meal) to stay fuller for longer and help preserve muscle while losing fat.

Small habits, repeated daily, lead to big results. Which one are you going to start with today?

Here I am talking about Vitamin D and its role in calcium absorption. Also, I am highlighting the importance of strength training for bone health.

Side note- Darker skin absorbs less sunlight, that’s just how nature intended it to be.
