Today, we announce that Ryan Preston has stepped down as Head Coach of the Green Gaels following the conclusion of the 2026 season.

Ryan’s impact on our organization extends far beyond his time behind the bench. A Founders Cup Champion as a player with the Green Gaels in 2002, Ryan returned home in 2024 as an Assistant Coach before leading our program as Head Coach over the past two seasons.

His passion, intensity, and commitment to developing our players have helped shape the next generation of Green Gaels, and we are incredibly grateful for the countless hours he dedicated to our organization.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, players, volunteers, alumni, sponsors, and fans, thank you, Ryan, for everything you’ve done for the Green Gaels. We wish you continued success with Lacrosse Canada, the Rochester Knighthawks, and wherever the game takes you next.

Todays final Green Gaels home game is at 2PM at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex is and admission is free for all those attending Bowmanville's Rockin' Ribs & Brews Ribfest - just enter through the west doors near Pad A to access the game from Ribfest.

Parking on site will be unavailable, but we encourage you to find legal parking near by or use the shuttles provided from Watson Farm with free parking available at Watson's.

Our partners from Staples Canada Bowmanville will be onsite today as well with plenty of free giveaways including Green Gaels Player Cards, a plinko board with some great prizes, and lots of other little goodies so make sure you swing by!

We appreciate our friends at Bowmanville's Rockin' Ribs & Brews to include us in the festivities today as part of Ribfest. Make sure you come by, grab some food and support our local Bowmanville Rotary Club who do so many amazing things for our local community.

The Green Gaels host their final Regular Season game this Saturday at 2PM as part of the Ribs & Brews Bowmanville festivities at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex.

As part of the festivities, admission to the game is free for anyone attending Bowmanville Rotary Ribfest!

The festivities start at 12PM at Rickard for Ribfest with food, music, beer, and a variety of vendors all day long. Grab a rack of your favourite ribs and wander into Pad A at Rickard at no cost!
