Trail Etiquette 101
Stop, turn off engine, if you have a full face helmet you should remove it, stay quiet until the rider speaks.
The horse will be expecting a response rather than being startled by an unfamiliar voice if you speak first.
Wait a minute for the rider to get some distance, start and proceed with a gentle acceleration, gradually increasing speed in a manner that shows respect to the horse and rider.
