Skate Lakeshore Skate Lakeshore is a not-for-profit organization that wants to make skating fun for everyone.

We run on a very small group of dedicated volunteers for programs starting at age three to adult. Our club has been servicing the Lakeshore area since 1973, founded originally as the Belle River District Figure Skating Club. Skate Lakeshore is a non-profit organization that is administered by a very small group of dedicated volunteers who make up the Board of Directors. We hope to see our club grow over the coming years, in order to do this we require constant support from our parents and our skaters

The StarSkate Program is where skaters can develop their figure skating skills, build confidence and work toward new goals on the ice.

Whether you’re looking to improve your skating, learn new skills or continue your figure skating journey, StarSkate has a place for you!

Eligibility: Skaters must have passed at least one Skate Canada test OR be 16+, and must skate under the instruction of a qualified private coach.

What to wear for your skating session!!

We recommend dressing in layers and wearing clothing that allows for comfortable movement on the ice. For your legs, warm pants paired with waterproof pants are a better option than snow pants.

Don’t forget to bring:
• Socks
• Waterproof mittens or gloves

Please avoid fuzzy gloves or mittens, as they can stick to the ice.

Make sure your child has what they need to skate safely. Skate Lakeshore strongly recommends the use of lace-up hockey skate and figure skates for all beginners.

Make sure they fit properly and that your child is able to stand straight up in them.

🔴 Star 3 | 6:15–7:45 p.m.
For CanSkate & Pre-Junior skaters. Must have passed Stage 4 CanSkate.

🔴 Star 4 | 6:45–7:50 p.m. on ice + 8:00–8:30 p.m. off ice
For Junior & StarSkate skaters. Must be 12+ unless approved. Testing may be required.
