The Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre just got more efficient!

Thanks to grant funding through the Community Energy Conservation Program, eight aging furnaces were replaced with new high-efficiency models.

The upgrade means:
âś… 41 tonnes less carbon dioxide each year
âś… A more reliable and comfortable space for visitors
âś… About $8,000 in annual energy savings

The savings from this project will help offset future operating and maintenance costs for the facility, supporting Beaumont’s ongoing work to make community spaces more efficient, reliable, and comfortable for everyone who uses them.

This project was supported by the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre, a partnership of Alberta Municipalities, the Rural Municipalities of Alberta, and the YourAlberta (Government of Alberta).
