CHALEUR REGION, WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🏒💙

We’re ready to welcome our players tomorrow for training camp, but we still have an urgent need for billet families.

As of Saturday, August 29, we need homes for 5 more players for the regular season.

These young men are coming to our community to play the game they love, and we need the Chaleur region to help give them a home away from home and make another great season of Lightning hockey possible.

If you’ve considered billeting, now is the time. Every home makes a difference! ⚡️

Nous sommes prêts à accueillir nos joueurs dès demain pour le camp d’entraînement, mais nous avons encore un besoin urgent de familles d’accueil.

À compter du samedi 29 août, nous avons besoin de familles pour accueillir 5 joueurs supplémentaires pour la saison régulière.

Ces jeunes hommes viennent dans notre région pour pratiquer le sport qu’ils aiment, et nous avons besoin de l’aide de notre communauté pour leur offrir un chez-soi loin de chez eux et nous permettre de vivre une autre excellente saison de hockey avec le Lightning.

The Chaleur Lightning have completed a trade with the Pictou County Weeks Crushers.

To Pictou County:
• 2009 F Jayden Croft
• 2028 8th-round pick

To Chaleur:
• Pictou County’s 2028 3rd-round pick

Originally selected by the Lightning in the 3rd round of the 2025 MHL Entry Draft, Jayden will now join his hometown Crushers.

We thank Jayden for his time with the Lightning organization and wish him all the best in Pictou County!
