Nepisiguit Lodge

Good morning from Bathurst and Club #1. First we would like to thank Mecanique J Clair from Quebec who supply our Pisten Bully groomers forsponsoring our lastWednesday night supper of the year. It was well attended and the meal was delicious. The Nepisiguit Lodge remains closed for the season as the traffic has grounded to a halt. Secondly we would also thank all of our faithful sponsors and all members and non members fortheir patronage for without them our club would have a tough time for survival.
Back to grooming and last night we had Jacob out on the #3 from Rogers Lake and he groomed the Cal Loop and the 22 out towards the Sugar Shack. There is still some riding left and some of it may be deemed Hard Core but most of it is perfect. Gary and Kevin ran from Nepisiguit to Serpentine on Tuesday and they reported except for stretches between TV Tower and Governors, the trails were decent, especially from Governors to Serpentine. Jacob also reported the same on his groomer run last night on Trail 22 and today they are forecasting a little snow, so that will help with lubrication. We still have some clubs grooming here in the north with the Super Village grooming the 24 to their clubhouse from Trail 19 last night. Over near Edmundston, we have clubs 29 and 44 grooming as well.
Bonjour de Bathurst et du Club n° 1. Nous tenons tout d'abord à remercier Mécanique J Clair du Québec, fournisseur de nos dameuses Pisten Bully, pour son parrainage de notre dernier souper du mercredi soir de l'année. L'événement a connu un franc succès et le repas était délicieux. Le Nepisiguit Lodge demeure fermé pour la saison, la circulation étant totalement à l'arrêt. Nous remercions également tous nos fidèles commanditaires, ainsi que tous les membres et non-membres, pour leur soutien indéfectible. Sans eux, la survie de notre club serait compromise.
Pour en revenir au damage, hier soir, Jacob a damé la piste n° 3 au départ de Rogers Lake, notamment la boucle Cal et la piste n° 22 en direction de la Cabane à Sucre. Il reste encore du temps pour la pratique du ski, certaines portions étant peut-être considérées comme difficiles, mais la plupart sont en parfait état. Gary et Kevin ont roulé de Nepisiguit à Serpentine mardi et ont rapporté que, hormis quelques tronçons entre la Tour de télévision et Governors, les sentiers étaient corrects, surtout entre Governors et Serpentine. Jacob a également signalé le même problème hier soir sur la piste 22, et on prévoit un peu de neige aujourd'hui, ce qui devrait améliorer la lubrification. Certains clubs continuent de damer les pistes dans le nord, notamment le Super Village qui a damé la piste 24 jusqu'à son club-house depuis la piste 19 hier soir. Près d'Edmundston, les clubs 29 et 44 sont également à l'œuvre.

❄️GROOMING UPDATE ❄️

Jacob made it out to Nepsiguit lodge yesterday from Roger's lake ! He said nine mile east has a few sketchy spots through the cuttings but the rest is doable. He turned at the lodge and headed up around the california loop and return to Rogers lake on the 507 and 23.

Francois left rogers lake arounnd 5AM this morning, he is heading west on 23 to 507 then 22 north to turning spot then 22 south to 40 cluster then south to Nine-mile cluster and then Nine-mile shelter and into Roger's lake on 23.

Mickey Early Saturday morning will groom from Roger's lake west on 23 to old TV tower road now the 550 up around the 550 loop to the 23 then turn head back up around 550 and back to Roger's lake on the 23 . We are hoping there is enough snow up around that loop, If not he will just go one way or turn back .

a reminder to please ride with caution this time of year, our groomers are doing the best to keep the trails going but there are some sketchy spots.

❄️MISE À JOUR SUR LE DENTAGE❄️

Jacob est arrivé hier au lodge Nepsiguit depuis le lac Rogers. Il a signalé quelques passages délicats à l'est de Nine Mile, dans les zones de déblais, mais le reste est praticable. Il a fait demi-tour au lodge, a longé la boucle de Cal et est retourné au lac Rogers par les routes 507 et 23.

François a quitté le lac Rogers vers 5 h ce matin. Il se dirige vers l'ouest sur la route 23 jusqu'à la 507, puis vers le nord sur la 22 jusqu'au point de retournement, puis vers le sud sur la 22 jusqu'au groupe de 40, puis vers le sud jusqu'au groupe de Nine Mile, puis à l'abri de Nine Mile, avant de rejoindre le lac Rogers par la route 23.

Mickey partira tôt samedi matin du lac Rogers vers l'ouest sur la route 23 jusqu'à Old TV Tower Road (maintenant la route 550), puis remontera la boucle 550 jusqu'à la route 23. Il fera demi-tour, remontera la 550 et retournera au lac Rogers par la route 23. Nous espérons qu'il y aura suffisamment de neige sur ce tronçon. Sinon, il fera un aller-retour.

N'oubliez pas de faire preuve de prudence à cette période de l'année. Nos dameuses font de leur mieux pour maintenir les pistes praticables, mais certains endroits sont délicats.

❄️GROOMING UPDATE ❄️
This morning we are floating our Groomer to Rogers lake . Jacob will go on a little run to see if there is enough snow to groom. He will leave Rogers lake head east on 23 towards our lodge if not enough snow he will turn and head around the california loop and we will see from there .

From what we heard from customers yesterday the first 2 KM from the lodge isnt in the greatest condition with gravel spots however it is still doable, from 9 mile on customers are saying conditions improve.

As soon as we get an updated report on the trails we will be sure to let you know!

❄️GROOMING UPDATE❄️

Ce matin, nous transportons notre dameuse jusqu'au lac Rogers. Jacob fera une petite reconnaissance pour vérifier l'enneigement. Il quittera le lac Rogers en direction est sur la route 23 vers notre chalet. Si la neige est insuffisante, il fera demi-tour et empruntera la boucle californienne. Nous aviserons ensuite.

D'après les retours de nos clients hier, les 2 premiers kilomètres depuis le chalet sont en mauvais état, avec des zones de gravier. Cependant, la piste reste praticable. À partir du 9e kilomètre, les conditions s'améliorent, selon nos clients.

Dès que nous aurons un rapport actualisé sur l'état des pistes, nous vous tiendrons informés !
