Our U12 Girls wrapped up an incredible season with a performance to be proud of at Regionals!

The girls came out firing, going UNDEFEATED through all three qualifying games and earning their spot in the Final!
After a tough first half left them trailing 4–0, they came back out for the second half ready to battle. Digging deep and putting together an incredible comeback, they fought right until the final whistle, closing the gap to 8–7 and earning an amazing 2nd-place finish! 🥈

These girls have shown just how much heart, grit, resilience and teamwork they have.

Congratulations Girls! We are so proud of you!

Barrie Rugby U18 Girls team took home the bronze medal at the Rugby Ontario Provincial Championship held in Brantford, ON.

Barrie held their own throughout the regular season losing only one game against the Oakville Crusaders.

They pushed through two play-off games to secure their spot at Provincials.

The girls lost the semi-final game, but battled it out in the final match to finish in 3rd place.

The team consists of girls from high schools across Simcoe County coached by Club Vice President Jordan Whitesell, and Club President Pierre Gautier as Assistant Coach. The winning team is pictured above.

Barrie Rugby was founded in 1967 by a group of athletes from Barrie and Base Borden. Today the club fields instructional and competitive teams for every age from Under 6 through Senior, welcoming new players regardless of experience.

You don’t have to be a rugby player to build a stronger community.

You just have to believe that kids, teens, and adults deserve access to organized sport that teaches teamwork, confidence, and resilience.

Right now, Barrie Rugby Club is raising support through Ontario Sport Network’s National Sport Trust Fund to keep programs strong for players from Under 6 to Senior Men and Women.

When you donate, you help fund the real costs that keep rugby alive: equipment, coaching, facilities, and player development.

And qualifying donations may be eligible for a charitable tax receipt.

This is your chance to:
• Support a club that’s been building community through rugby since 1967

• Help young people in Simcoe County grow through sport

• Make a gift that can be tax‑advantaged when it qualifies
