We wanted to ensure we paused and shared that our thoughts and condolences are going out to Sgt. Brett Carletonβs family, friends, co-workers and our community.
We are grateful to live and work in a location where there are services such as those provided by the Barrie Police Service

A game can become an opportunity to notice frustration, practise flexibility, communicate a boundary, ask for help, recover from disappointment, negotiate with another person or discover a regulation strategy.
Our team creates these opportunities intentionally β then helps children connect what happens at NeuroNest to everyday life.
We'd love to provide you with some information about the upcoming NeuroNest program! Starts in September for Children and Teens!

π¨π 17-YEAR-OLD MISSISSAUGA TEEN CREATES A LIFE-SAVING GPS TRACKER FOR CHILDREN WHO WANDER ππ§©
Ashwin Chunchu, a 17-year-old recent Mississauga high school graduate, is turning a childhood experience into technology that could help protect vulnerable children. β€οΈ
After remembering how he used to wander away from his parents as a young child, Ashwin created StepSafe Kids β an affordable cellular GPS tracker designed for neurodivergent children who may wander or βelope.β π°οΈπ¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦
The device offers: π Real-time GPS location
π¨ Geofencing alerts
π§ Waterproof design
π Fall detection
π Lost mode
π Clip-on or lanyard options
π A permanently disabled microphone
His Kickstarter campaign has already surpassed its funding goal, and the product is expected to launch in February 2027. π
The project comes as families across Canada continue to raise concerns about the dangers of wandering and the lack of a national emergency alert system specifically for vulnerable individuals at high risk. π¨π¦
Ashwin also hopes to develop a version for seniors living with dementia, inspired in part by his grandfather. β€οΈ
ππ₯ At just 17, heβs not only building a business β heβs trying to build a safer world for families.
Would you trust a device like this for your child? π

WHY WE CREATED IT!
For kids who are βgetting throughβ β but not always thriving!
Some children manage school, activities and everyday expectations while paying a significant emotional price once they get home.
We'd love to send you some information about this brand new program!
Message us your email address! Let's connect!
Know of another parent who may be interested in this type of program for their child or teen? We'd welcome connecting with them as well!

We do not expect children to learn mental-health concepts primarily by sitting around a table talking about feelings.
12 weeks, delivered in two 6-week terms!
Each week builds on the learning and experiences that came before it.
Starts in September!
Would you like some information?
