Update #5 and final one: The banner is coming home to Baddeck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They won 6-5 in the final end scoring three!

Update #4: And I quote: “We just won! That means we can sleep in tomorrow!!!”

For the parents, coaches and all our supporters that translates to: Baddeck Broncos are playing for GOLD TOMORROW AT NOON!!!!

After a close rematch with Citadel High, trading point for point every end, we won the semi final with a draw to the button by Mate Allison Harvie!

Update #3: THEY WON IN THE LAST TWO ENDS!!!! 8-6 was the final score, five those points came in the end for an unexpected win against Park View.

Next game is the semi finals at 6pm (although we might be running late) against Citadel High (again!) But this win also means we’re gaurenteed a game tomorrow!

Update #2: Baddeck lost this morning in a tight game against Citadel High. This caused us to make a three way tie in the round robin, so we had to break it with a team draw to the button. Unfortunately, our eight foot draws were not enough, and we’re now playing in the qualifiers against Park View of Bridgewater.

Update #1: Baddeck won their first game 7-6 against JH Gillis of Antigonish.

Next game is tomorrow at 9am against Citadel High.

Baddeck Academy Broncos are competing at the SSNS Curling Provincials in Digby this weekend.

First game is at 3:30 this afternoon against Dr. JH Gillis High School from Antigonish. Scores will be updated here as they come!

This Sunday, come out to the Baddeck Curling Club and show off your shots! In support of the Jr Curling Program.

Dinner afterwards, by unofficial chef Angus Nicholson. Advanced booking required as room is limited! Contact Coach Melissa Nicholson or any of the Jr Curlers to reserve your spot!

What a great time today at the Kidston Classic Bonspiel! Great to see so much community support in the Kidston Island Beach project! Thankyou to the Baddeck Lions Club for putting on a great event!

Congratulations to the six champions of the Bras D’Or Lake Stick Spiel held this weekend at the Baddeck Curling Club!

Each two-person team won all three games in their division to win the trophy!
